Basset does not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance payment for several reasons.  Accepting insurance means insurance companies are able to access your private medical history, including diagnosis and treatment records.  We believe that your mental health history should not be anyone’s business but your own.  Additionally, insurance companies can dictate how often, for how long, and what types of treatment you may receive.  We believe that decision is best made by the client and psychologist working together.

Just because we do not accept insurance does not mean you cannot use your coverage.  For individuals who would like to use their mental health insurance, we can provide you with a Superbill at the end of the month.  To find out what your insurance company will reimburse, check out our guide located at the top of the page  on how to speak to your insurance company.
